Job summary

Independent School District 196 is seeking an Elementary School Teacher for Grade 4 at Highland Elementary School. This 1.0 FTE (LTS) position will begin September 4, 2026 and run through January 4, 2027, with an anticipated start date aligned to the school calendar.

The educator will teach the established curriculum, fulfill duties per the master contract and school leadership, and maintain strong communication with staff and families while supporting a diverse student community.

Qualifications

• Licensed by the state of Minnesota to teach elementary education.
• Strong general academic background.
• Ability to relate positively to students, staff, and community.
• Demonstrated experience with a culturally diverse school community preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach curriculum of Independent School District 196.
• Carry out responsibilities as defined by the master contract.
• Carry out responsibilities as defined by the principal.
