Job summary

Lincoln County Schools seeks an Elementary Teacher for 4th grade to plan and implement instructional programs that meet diverse student needs while aligning with state and county requirements.

The incumbent will develop daily lesson plans, maintain accurate records, and collaborate with staff and parents to foster student growth and achievement. Regular attendance and professional development are expected under district policies.

Qualifications

• Valid West Virginia teaching certificate for grades K-6, 1-6, 1-8, K-12 or as required for grade taught.
• Teaching certificate must reflect specialization or endorsement in subject area to which assigned.
• A minimum of a Reading Authorization must be acquired to teach remedial reading (K-12); Reading Specialist Certificate is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Meet and instruct assigned classes in the locations and times designated.
• Create a classroom environment conducive to learning and appropriate to student maturity and interests.
• Foster and exhibit high expectations for self and students.
• Monitor and adhere to Student Attendance Policy requirements.
• Prepare lesson plans and show evidence of preparation upon request of supervisor.
