Job summary

Neighborhood House Charter School (NHCS) seeks a 4th Grade Math/Science Teacher for SY26-27 at the Queen Street campus in Dorchester. Hours are Monday–Friday, 7:45 a.m.–4 p.m.; salary placement follows the collective bargaining agreement and MTEL licensure.

Two years of teaching experience and a Bachelor's degree are preferred; Master's degree is a plus. You will build strong relationships with students to support both academic growth and social-emotional development, thrive in a warm, demanding

Neighborhood House Charter School (NHCS) is a tuition-free open enrollment charter school for grades K1-12 in Dorchester that is a public alternative to traditional district schools. We serve over 800 students across two campuses predominantly from the neighborhoods of Dorchester, Roxbury and Mattapan. What is the Elementary Teacher role?
As an Elementary School Teacher, you care deeply about the success of your students and create strong relationships to leverage success both in and out of the classroom. You are excited about understanding an individual scholar's unique learning style and supporting them in their academic growth and development.
You will work at our Queen Street campus. The hours are Monday - Friday, 7:45 a.m. - 4 p.m.The salary for this position is based on education and experience. Final salary placement is determined in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement. Salary lanes reflect educational attainment and applicable licensure (i.e., MTEL).
Someone coming to us with two years of experience a master's degree and licensure can expect to make an annualized salary of $71,104.

• A passing score on the Communications & Literacy MTEL, as well as a MTEL in the content area(s) they teach within their first year of employment at NHCS
• An SEI Endorsement (core academic and special education teachers only) as defined by DESE, within their first year of employment at NHCS
• Two years teaching experience preferred;
