Qualifications

• Minimum age of 18 years old.
• Teaching license or Substitute teaching license.
• Current CPR/AED certification preferred; required within 30 days of hire.
• Must complete and pass fingerprint check.
• Must complete a Health Physical and TB test within 30 days of hire.
• Ability to interact with children at their cognitive level.

Responsibilities

• Follows licensing rules for group child care centers.
• Abides by YMCA and school district policies.
• Collaborates with co-teachers and teacher assistants to problem solve issues and follow IEPs.
• Communicates positively with children, families, and co-instructors.
• Collaborates with school district special education teachers and YMCA partners.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
