Job summary

La Petite Academy is seeking a State Pre-K Assistant Teacher to guide 4-year-olds in a nurturing classroom, aligning with program goals and licensing rules. You will observe and plan for each child, communicating with families and applying engaging curricula to foster early learning.

Qualifications

• Associates in Early Childhood Education, Child Development or related or an active CDA in Preschool.
• Experience in a licensed childcare center or related field.
• Ability to meet state requirements for education and our center requirements.
• Able to work indoors or outdoors and engage in physical activity with children.

Responsibilities

• Instruct 4-year-olds based on individual needs and program requirements to prepare them for Kindergarten.
• Follow licensing guidelines, company standards and grant program requirements for daily child care.
• Observe, assess and plan for children; communicate effectively with families.
• Implement curriculum and create fun, interactive learning experiences for the children.
