Job summary

Sentry is seeking a Transition Service Specialist to coordinate the cancellation or discontinuance of retirement plans with new providers. You will ensure compliance with IRS/DOL regulations and uphold contract provisions while guiding employers through the termination process.

The role requires strong communication, organizational, and detail-oriented skills to manage plan closures and related administrative duties across the client base.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or 1 year of related work experience.
• Previous 401K plan administration experience preferred.
• Knowledge of IRS/DOL regulations related to 401K plans.

Responsibilities

• Process cancellation of plans for contracts, including investment-only contracts.
• Communicate with employers throughout the plan termination process.
• Ensure contract and service requirements are met and assets distributed per participants and contract holder decisions.
• Make system changes to ensure sales credits, contract counts, and service commitments are closed out.
