Sentry's 401K team seeks a Transition Service Specialist to coordinate cancellations or discontinuances of retirement plans per established procedures and regulatory requirements. You will liaise with employers through the termination process and ensure assets are distributed as elected by contract-holders and participants.
Key duties include processing cancellations for contracts, updating systems for sales credits and contract counts, and collaborating with Client Services.
Our 401K team is looking for a Transition Service Specialist to help aide the cancellation or discontinuance of plans.
This individual will coordinate the cancellation or discontinuance to a new provider of plans following established procedures and contractual provisions while maintaining compliance with applicable IRS and/or DOL regulations.
Additionally, you will:
· High school diploma or a minimum of 1 year of related work experience
· Previous experience in 401K plan administration is strongly preferred
· Effective communication, human relations, and organizational skills
· Demonstrated understanding of 401K/retirement plan administration including the knowledge of related IRS/DOL regulations
· Professional development courses through CEBS, ASPPA, or other resources are beneficial
