Description du poste

40+ openings | Long-term contract | $30–$48/hour | Significant overtime

Quick Facts
  • Technicians may be redeployed to another active build when their assigned site is completed
  • Strong opportunity for permanent employment based on performance and business needs
  • Housing, airfare, rental transportation, and travel logistics are covered and booked by IG
  • Meal reimbursement up to $120 per day
  • Paid travel home between approved work rotations
  • Typical schedule includes 10–12-hour shifts, up to six days per week
  • Many technicians average 20–30 hours of overtime weekly
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship
Quick Fit Check

You should apply if you have hands-on experience with:

  • Rack and stack deployments inside active data centers
  • Troubleshooting down ports, connectivity failures, cabling, or hardware issues
  • Fiber and copper cabling, ideally including LC, MPO/MTP, breakouts, and patch panels
  • Cable tracing, labeling, connectivity validation, and remediation
  • QA/QC checks and accurate deployment documentation
  • Extensive travel and physically demanding project work

This position requires technicians who can install, validate, troubleshoot, and remediate infrastructure. Cable-pulling experience alone will not meet the requirements.

Current Project Locations
  • Afton, Texas
  • Dalton, Georgia

You do not need to live near these locations. These are 100% travel positions, and additional project sites are planned nationwide.

Compensation and Travel Benefits
  • $30–$48 per hour based on relevant experience and qualifications
  • Overtime opportunities based on project demand
  • Hotel accommodations fully covered
  • Airfare and local transportation arranged and paid for
  • Meal reimbursement up to $120 per day

  • Rack and stack experience with servers, switches, or related infrastructure
  • Experience troubleshooting connectivity, down ports, cabling, or hardware issues
  • Experience tracing, labeling, validating, and documenting connections
  • Ability to work 10–12-hour shifts and extensive overtime

Preferred Technical Experience

  • Visual Fault Locator tools
  • Optical power meters or OTDR testing
  • LC, MPO/MTP, fiber breakouts, and copper connections
  • Port remediation and connectivity validation
  • Burndown, turn-up, or post-install troubleshooting
  • Rack elevation drawings, MOPs, and deployment procedures
  • Cable and asset labeling systems
What You Will Do
  • Install and securely rack servers, switches, and supporting hardware
  • Follow rack elevations, deployment standards, and site procedures
  • Connect, trace, label, and validate fiber and copper cabling
  • Troubleshoot down ports, signal issues, incorrect patching, and connectivity failures
  • Clean and reseat fiber connections before retesting
  • Support port remediation, burndown, and post-install validation
  • Perform QA/QC checks and document completed work accurately
  • Identify deployment defects and identify unresolved blockers
  • Receive, stage, organize, and track technical equipment
  • Move and position cabinets or equipment within data halls
  • Work within assigned crews under onsite technical and project leadership
  • Maintain quality and productivity in active data center environments

This is a highly active travel role supporting large-scale infrastructure deployments. Technicians must be comfortable working long shifts, completing physical deployment work, following detailed procedures, and adjusting to changing project priorities.

Successful technicians are reliable, detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and able to explain how they diagnose and resolve connectivity problems.
