Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Data Center Deployment Technician to support a large-scale data center project in Lubbock, TX. You will work with Tiger Team Leads on rack-and-stack, cabling, equipment installation, staging, receiving, and inventory in active data center environments.

This role requires 6+ months in data centers and 2+ years in related deployments, with travel of 1–3 weeks as needed. OT is paid at 1.5x; travel/housing/meals reimbursed for long-distance shifts.

Qualifications

• 6+ months of experience working in a data center environment.
• 2+ years of experience in rack-and-stack, structured cabling, low-voltage systems, hardware installations, or data center deployments.
• Ability to lift and install data center equipment while following safety protocols.
• Willingness to travel 1–3 weeks per deployment, as needed.
• Background check passed (no felony or violent misdemeanors in past 7 years).
• Pre-employment drug screen, including THC, must be passed.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to site.

Responsibilities

• Support installation and deployment of servers, network equipment, and infrastructure in active data centers.
• Perform rack-and-stack, equipment staging, hardware installation, and structured cabling.
• Receive, organize, and prepare equipment for deployment and maintain clean staging areas.
• Install equipment according to rack elevations, deployment standards, and QA requirements.
• Assist QA/QC inspections, identify issues, and escalate to keep projects on schedule.
• Collaborate with deployment leads and project teams to deliver high-quality builds.
• Participate in daily huddles and site walkthroughs to support milestones.
• Follow site access requirements, safety procedures, and client deployment processes.

Insight Global is seeking Data Center Deployment Technicians to support a large-scale data center infrastructure project in Lubbock, TX. Techs will work alongside Tiger Team Leads to assist with data center deployments including rack-and-stack, cabling, equipment installation, staging, receiving, inventory management, and physical build activities within active data center environments.

Location:

Lubbock, TX

• Lead Tech: $35.00-$40.00/hr
• Expect 10+ hours of OT each week, paid at 1.5x your standard rate.
• If you're traveling from outside a 50-mile radius, the client will provide travel, housing/lodging, and meal reimbursements.

Schedule

• Shift: Day Shift
• Hours: Typically, 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM
• Expected Weekly Hours: 50-60+ hours

Requirements

• 6+ months of experience working in a data center environment
• 2+ years of experience in rack-and-stack, structured cabling, low-voltage systems, hardware installations, or data center deployments.
• Ability to safely lift, move, and install data center equipment while following all site safety protocols.
• Must be comfortable travelling for 1 to 3 weeks at a time, depending on deployment needs and technician availability.
• Must be able to pass a background check (no felony or violent misdemeanor convictions within the past 7 years).
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen, including THC.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to and from the work site.
