The University of Maryland, College Park seeks a dedicated outreach assistant to support Worcester County 4-H Youth Development. Working under the 4-H educator and County Extension Director, you will help plan, implement, and evaluate educational programs, afterschool activities, camps, and community events.

This role requires strong communication, data collection, event coordination, and the ability to work with volunteers and partner organizations.

Competenze

• Education: Graduation from High School (or GED).
• Experience: Five years' experience performing a variety of duties in support of the teaching, demonstration, and advising work of Extension agents or in community outreach, health care, research, or social services programs.
• Knowledge/skills: Working knowledge in the assigned area of specialization such as food and nutrition, housing, horticulture, soil nutrient management or youth programs.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
• Ability to lift and transport supplies and equipment.
• Ability to operate manual and automated office equipment and personal computers.

Mansioni

• Assist the 4-H Educator in developing, implementing, and evaluating educational outreach programs for Worcester County 4-H Youth Development.
• Plan, organize, and deliver youth outreach programs including afterschool programs, in-school enrichment, community events, fairs, and camps.
• Support recruitment, onboarding, and retention of 4-H youth members and adult volunteers.
• Assist with development and support of community 4-H clubs and coordinate program logistics.
• Assist with teaching educational programs and collecting evaluation data to measure impact.
• Deliver educational presentations and facilitate discussions at meetings and events.
• Manage social media, website content, and outreach materials.
