Job summary

The University of Kentucky is seeking an Extension Agent for 4-H Youth Development in Bracken County, based in Brooksville, KY. This full‑time position provides leadership for 4‑H programs serving youth across the county.

Responsibilities include implementing engaging programs, recruiting and training volunteers, and organizing councils and committees to address leadership development, community service, and local government. Background checks and required documents apply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Education, Agriculture, Family & Consumer Sciences, Social Science, or similar field.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate orally and in writing with groups and individuals and through mass media.
• Ability to visit clientele at sites throughout the county and to plan and teach educational programs.

Responsibilities

• Implement a well-rounded program that develops youth through school and community-based programs.
• Recruit and train volunteers and leaders to work with youth.
• Utilize and/or develop councils, advisory groups, and committees in programing around leadership development, community involvement, local government, community services and other forms of community economic development.

Education

Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Education, Agriculture, Family & Consumer Sciences, Social Science

Driver’s License preferred
