Job summary

The University of Kentucky, Mt. Vernon, KY, is seeking an Extension Agent for 4-H Youth Development to lead Rockcastle County programs, engage youth and communities, and implement a well-rounded curriculum.

Responsibilities include recruiting and training volunteers, coordinating councils and committees, and delivering education across county sites while aligning with Kentucky Cooperative Extension Statutes.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate orally and in writing with groups and individuals.
• Ability to use a computer for program delivery and management.
• Experience in youth development or extension services preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage 4-H youth development programs in Rockcastle County.
• Recruit and train volunteers and leaders.
• Coordinate councils, advisory groups, and committees for program areas such as leadership development, community involvement and local gov.0and other community development topics.
• Visit clientele at various sites across the county and teach educational programs.
