Job summary

Virginia Tech in Virginia's Extension system seeks a Program Educator to collaborate with 4-H agents, youth, and community partners to deliver after-school, school enrichment, day camps, and workshops across multiple formats. The role emphasizes program design, marketing, evaluation, and reporting with a focus on impactful youth development.

Qualifications

Experience working with youth of all backgrounds.
Ability to recruit, motivate, and engage youth and adult volunteers.
Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently.
Proficiency with Windows and Microsoft Office Suite.
Access to reliable transportation to various worksites.

Responsibilities

Deliver 4-H educational programs with Extension and partners.
Promote, coordinate and deliver programs including after-school, school enrichment, day camps, workshops.
Assess program effectiveness and suggest improvements with leadership and stakeholders.
Prepare marketing and evaluation materials; update website and social media.
Analyze evaluation results and manage reporting for grants.
Manage fiscal matters to meet best practice standards and grant requirements.
Participate in unit programming across ANR, 4-H, FCS, EFNEP.
