Job summary

Virginia Tech Extension is seeking a Program Educator to work with 4-H youth in after-school programs, school enrichment, and camps. You will partner with the 4-H agent to deliver education through multiple formats and participate in program evaluation and marketing efforts.

The role requires experience with youth, strong organizational skills, ability to work independently, and reliable transportation to various worksites. The position is hourly with non-exempt status and part-time hours.

Qualifications

• Experience working with youth from diverse backgrounds.
• Ability to communicate effectively in writing and orally with youth and adults.
• Strong organization and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the 4-H agent to promote and deliver programs through after-school, school enrichment, day camps, and workshops.
• Assess program effectiveness and suggest improvements with leadership and partners.
• Prepare marketing and evaluation materials; assist with website and social media updates.
• Analyze evaluation results and manage reporting requirements for programs implemented.
• Oversee fiscal matters to meet grant requirements and university protocols.
