Job summary

H.T. Prof Executive Search is sourcing a skilled CNC Machinist for a direct-hire position in the Big Bend area of Wisconsin. The role involves establishing and running independent setups on multi-axis CNC mills/turning centers in a clean, climate-controlled facility serving aerospace, defense, and medical markets.

You will read complex blueprints, adjust G&M codes, and apply GD&T to ensure tight tolerances. This 2nd shift job offers a 4-day work week with Fridays off and strong benefits.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional CNC machining experience with at least 1 year of independent setups on CNC mills or lathes.
• Fluency reading blueprints, interpreting G&M codes, applying GD&T fundamentals.
• Proficient with precision hand measurement tools and inspection equipment.
• Willingness to work permanent 2nd shift (Mon–Thu, 3:00 PM–1:30 AM).
• U.S. Citizenship or Green Card holder residing within daily driving distance of Big Bend, WI.

Responsibilities

• Perform Independent Setups: Execute complete, independent machine setups on multi-axis CNC mills and turning centers.
• Tooling & Offsets Management: Adjust tool offsets, fixtures, and replace tooling to maintain tight tolerances.
• Precision Part Inspection: Inspect close-tolerance components using micrometers, calipers, and height gauges.
• Blueprint & Code Execution: Interpret blueprints, apply G&M code adjustments, and use GD&T to ensure part integrity.
• Troubleshoot & Optimize Cell: Investigate deviations on 2nd shift to optimize cycle times.
• Maintain Cell Standards: Keep a clean, 5S-compliant machining station.
