Caterpillar in Boone, NC is seeking a Welder for 3rd shift to build top-of-the-line equipment. You will operate MIG welders and robotic welding systems, inspect welds, and repair defects while following standard work and blueprints.

This role requires welding operation experience, the ability to lift up to 35 lbs, and reliable teamwork. Starting pay is $21.70 per hour with an 8% shift premium, plus Day One benefits and a comprehensive total rewards package.

Qualifications

• Must have welding operation experience.
• Blueprint reading experience.
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs and perform repetitive operations.

Responsabilités

• Operate welding machines including MIG welding, and work with robotic welding systems.
• Inspect own work using weld gauges and other measuring tools.
• Perform in-station repair on defective welds using carbon air arc process and grinders.
• Clear common robotic welding system faults.
• Move heavy fabricated metal components using lifting devices (up to 35 lbs).
• Perform routine maintenance and follow standard work and blueprints.
• Support CPS principles of 5S and continuous improvement; participate in final inspections.
