Job summary

Perdue Farms Inc. is hiring a Wastewater Operator B to ensure proper operation and compliance of the full treatment system. You will monitor performance, perform maintenance, conduct lab tests, manage chemical handling, and troubleshoot to maximize efficiency in a fast-paced facility.

Schedule: Monday through Thursday, 10:00pm - 8:00am. The role requires DNREC license, 1–2 years wastewater experience, a valid driver’s license, and safety certification; Perdue emphasizes safety and environmental

Qualifications

1–2 years wastewater experience.
DNREC Wastewater Facility Operator License Class 1 or higher.
Reading, writing, math, and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

Ensure waste enters trailers and/or tankers properly and prevent overloading.
Monitor wastewater releases to the city and adjust chemicals accordingly.
Perform preventive maintenance and cleaning on equipment and areas.
Record and log required data and completed work.
Adhere to safety requirements, PPE, and lockout/tagout procedures.
Troubleshoot issues and assess potential mechanical failures.
Transfer bulk chemicals safely and perform laboratory tests to monitor treatment efficiency.
Maintain clean and organized work areas and document operational data.
