Job summary

Perdue Farms is seeking a Wastewater Operator B to monitor the full treatment system, perform maintenance, and ensure regulatory compliance in a fast‑paced facility. You will conduct lab tests, manage chemical handling, and work with maintenance and operations to troubleshoot issues and improve efficiency.

The role requires a High School Diploma, 1–2 years wastewater experience, and a DNREC Operator License Class 1 or higher, plus a valid Driver's License.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1-2 years of wastewater experience.
• DNREC Wastewater Facility Operator License Class 1 or higher.
• Demonstrate reading, writing, math, and analytical skills.
• Possess a valid Driver's License.
• Obtain pallet jack and forklift certification through company training and testing.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and operate the full wastewater treatment system to ensure regulatory compliance and efficiency.
• Perform preventative maintenance and routine cleaning of equipment and tanks.
• Conduct laboratory tests and record results to verify treatment performance.
• Handle chemical transfer, mixing, and safe storage; manage potential cross‑contamination risks.
• Record data, logs, and maintenance activities; follow lockout/tagout and PPE requirements.
• Collaborate with maintenance and operations teams to troubleshoot issues and improve processes.
