Job summary

Associated Wholesale Grocers is seeking a Sanitation Department Associate for a full-time shift to maintain cleanliness and safety in a warehouse setting in Saint Cloud, MN. The role involves operating power equipment and ensuring daily housekeeping across grocery, frozen, and perishable areas.

You will handle pallets, debris removal, and assist in restocking damaged product, while adhering to OSHA safety policies and company procedures.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift 40-45 lbs regularly and up to 100 lbs periodically.
• Excellent time management and ability to prioritize tasks.
• Ability to work in moderately cold temperatures for long periods.
• Ability to operate warehouse equipment such as electric order machines, fork-lifts, and other power tools.
• Must meet attendance requirements.
• Ability to hear and respond to safety horns, intercom system, and voice communication systems.

Responsibilities

• Safety: Promote a safe work environment ensuring that all department employees are adhering to OSHA and company safety policies.
• Monitor the facility for safety and sanitary infractions, and bring those infractions to a Supervisor.
• Day‑to‑day cleanliness of your assigned area, which may include sweeping dry spillage from underneath racks and pallets, mopping all spillage with a chemical compound between and behind food racks or wherever needed, picking up and transporting pallets to the return dock, pulling or cutting back plastic that surrounds the product in the pick slot, and picking up damaged product to recoup this damage for restocking.
• Maintain periodic work orders assigned by the Supervisor.
