Job summary

Family Dollar is seeking a 3rd shift warehouse team member in Ashley, Indiana. The role involves maintaining packaging lines, labeling, handling damaged materials, and operating PIT equipment in a non-climate-controlled distribution environment.

Requires a high school diploma (preferred) and 4–6 months of warehouse experience; ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and occasionally 80 lbs. OT, weekends, and holidays may be required. DC209 location.

Qualifications

• High School diploma preferred.
• Retail Distribution Center or warehouse experience is encouraged.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and occasional 80 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Ensures box lines are supplied to maintain steady flow of productivity.
• Ensures damaged product is taken to appropriate area for processing.
• Ensures labels are placed properly on merchandise in order to be scanned properly.
• Repairs or discards damaged containers.
• Assists in keeping trash lines free from jams including overhead jams.
• Washes dirty containers.
• Sorts, pushes and delivers used boxes and containers as needed.
• Stacks totes on pallets.
• Fills in and assists with stocking or order filling duties as time permits.
• Completes the daily PIT checklist to ensure equipment is working properly and reports any defects to management and/or maintenance.
• Operates PIT equipment in a safe manner.
• Follows set safety procedures and guidelines.
• Maintains an organized work area and promotes a safe working environment within the Repack department.
• All other duties as assigned
