Job summary

FleetPride is the largest after-market distributor of heavy-duty truck and trailer parts in the U.S. The Trailer Technician will repair trailers and perform chassis repairs, including brake jobs, welding, cutting with a torch, and replacing parts using standard repair tools.

Some minor container repairs, patches, door latches and hinges are also part of the role. DUTIES include diagnosing, repairing, and rebuilding trailer components, performing maintenance, troubleshooting, and inspections,

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Welding experience preferred.
• Vocational certificate or related work experience considered.
• Carpentry fabrication and welding are a plus.
• Ability to pass background and drug test.

Responsibilities

• Diagnoses, repairs, builds and rebuilds trailer equipment.
• Performs maintenance, troubleshooting and inspections of equipment.
• Tests equipment to ensure proper operation.
• performs brake jobs and suspension work.
• Other related job duties as assigned.
