Job summary

Amsted Automotive, Powder Metal, Beaver Dam, WI is seeking a 3rd Shift Journeyman Tool & Die Maker to fabricate or repair tooling using lathes, mills, grinders, and related equipment. This role helps ensure product quality and supports internal and external customers.

A competitive wage plus a 5% shift premium is offered based on experience. Responsibilities include reading work instructions and drawings, fabricating and repairing tools and fixtures, and performing setup and operation on machine

Qualifications

• 3-5 years post apprenticeship tool and die experience.
• Successful completion of a tool and die apprenticeship and 10,400 hours of relative work experience.
• Knowledge of Surfcam, Esprit, or SolidWorks.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Read and follow written work instructions as provided.
• Read and interpret complicated tool drawings.
• Fabricate and/or repair tools, fixtures and machine parts.
• Manufacture quality products to meet customer requirements.
• Do complicated set up and operations on machine tools such as lathes, standard and CNC mills and EDMs, grinders, hones, saws, CAD/CAM.
• Maintain a continuous material flow throughout the Tool & Die Process.
• Design and fabricate simple or complex jigs and fixtures.
• Make decisions using math, charts, tables, formulas, and knowledge of machining techniques and methods.
• Other duties assigned or required for the department.
