Job summary

Component Repair Technologies, Inc. in Mentor, OH is seeking a Thermal Spray Technician (Level I) for the 3rd shift.

You will learn and apply thermal spray techniques to turbine engine components under supervision, gaining hands-on experience and expanding responsibilities in a modern facility. Through our in-house training program, you will master safety standards, process controls, and quality checks while working with CNC-assisted and manual spray equipment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 18 months of manufacturing or similar experience.
• Ability to read shop drawings and work instructions.
• Experience operating overhead cranes.
• Skilled with measuring devices and hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety protocols and policies.
• Interpret work instructions and apply correct thermal spray process.
• Inspect and prepare parts for coatings (cleaning, masking, blasting).
• Set up and operate thermal spray equipment per instructions.
• Apply specified coatings and handle coatings safely.
• Maintain equipment and complete logs.
• Perform process tests for quality control.
• Measure coating amounts with handheld gauges.
