Job summary

Clack Corporation, a privately held company, is seeking a 3rd Shift Supervisor for the plastic blow molding department. You will lead a shift to meet production schedules, quality specifications, safety rules, and housekeeping standards.

Responsibilities include supervising machine operators, performing troubleshooting, maintaining ISO compliance, coordinating with other shifts, and training staff on color changes and equipment operation.

Qualifications

• Supervisory experience required.
• Experience in plastic blow molding preferred.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to read blueprints and QC instruments.
• Willing to work 10pm–6:30am shift.

We are a leading manufacturer and distributor of water treatment components and drinking water products, as well as specialized in custom blow molding products.We are looking for a 3rd Shift Supervisor with a strong leadership background to join our plastic blow molding department. The hours for 3rd Shift are Sunday night-Thursday night 10pm-6:30am.Clack Corporation offers an extensive benefit package including competitive pay, health and dental insurance, company paid life insurance and short term disability, vacation, 401k, profit sharing, monthly bonus, flex spending and additional voluntary benefits.Summary: Supervise blow molding shift operations to assure that production schedules, quality specifications, company policies and procedures along with housekeeping and safety standards are met.Establish and maintain an effective work force.Supervises machine operators and administers company policies and work rules.Administers company policies, practices, procedures, safety rules and work rules.Completes necessary shift logs and other records.Continually reviews production processes to assure best and safe methods/procedures are utilized to meet production, quality and safety goals.Performs troubleshooting and makes necessary adjustments to meet or surpass QC requirements.Assures corporate ISO policies and procedures are met.Audit the shift operator QC log and documents.Conserves resources by controlling lights, heats, operation of equipment, and secures outside entrances when not in use.Maintains thorough communication with employees, other supervisors, upper management, and manufacturing services.Assures proper lock out/tag out and perform lock out/tag out when necessary.Assures SPC system is utilized to its extent.Develop and conduct necessary training sessions for employees, including color changes, machine operations, etc.Perform material handling support.Prepare quarterly safety progress report.Adjusts and shut down machines and modify schedules when necessary because of quality problems, hazardous conditions, possible equipment damage and material shortage.Arranges transportation of injured/ill employees to assure proper medical treatment.Coordinates, plans and schedules personnel and materials in accordance with production schedules with awareness of other shifts.Conduct daily shift meeting and attend require management meetings/training.Approve overtime as required by shift.Performs other duties as assigned.Previous supervisory experience.Excellent identification and problem solving skills as it relates to people, equipment, material and quality.Able to read blueprints, QC instruments and specifications along with basic math.Perform trouble shooting technical skills.High School Diploma.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Able to work affectivity under pressure.Flexible hours and overtime required and available for weekend on call.Knowledge and experience of plastic processing required.Certified in CPR, first aid, blood borne pathogens, and AED.Ability to operate forklift safely and efficiently (license required).Full understanding of proper lock out/tag out procedures.Must wear/use and maintain assigned personal protective equipment (hearing protection, safety glasses, etc.) and work tools.Able to lift up to 25 pounds regularly and maneuver up to 75 pounds infrequently.Extended standing and able to work at various heights. Climb ladders. Work overhead.
