Fort Wayne Metals in Fort Wayne, IN is seeking production technicians for 3rd shift with a Monday–Friday schedule (no weekends). Start pay is $19.84–$21.45 per hour with a $1.50 shift premium. Qualifications

• 1 year of previous manufacturing experience is preferred.
• Mechanical aptitude is required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.

Responsibilities

• Reading and interpreting production orders to determine priorities and specifications.
• Setting up and operating re-spooling equipment.
• Monitoring wire winding to ensure even, accurate spooling and making adjustments as needed.
• Performing cleaning processes using Hot Alkaline or Ultrasonic systems (as applicable).
• Conducting eddy current testing to identify defects in wire materials.
• Visually inspecting wire to ensure quality standards are met and labeling and packaging finished materials accurately.
