Job summary

Valdese Weavers is seeking a Sectional Creeler Operator for the 3rd shift. The role involves creel yarn for the warper, maintaining cone placement, and assisting the warper tender.

You will learn color patterns, adjust arbors, and keep work areas clean and safe according to ISO 9001 standards. This position offers a 3rd shift with a $1.00 per hour premium and a $50 attendance bonus every two weeks with no time off during shutdowns.

Qualifications

• Basic reading, writing, and math skills required.
• Manual dexterity is essential for handling yarn and equipment.
• Ability to tie a weaver’s knot.
• Ability to climb, reach, and bend as part of creel operations.

Responsibilities

• Creel yarn for the warper.
• Keep cones tied in warper creel.
• Assist warper tender in creel changes.
• Learn patterns and positions for multiple colors.
• Adjust arbors as needed.
• Sweep at least three times per shift.
• Open yarn cases and break down boxes.
• Take out empty cones and trash.
• Relieve the warper tender for breaks.
• Cut off beams.
• Help bring ends up to relays.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
