Puratos USA is seeking a Sanitation Lead to help lead a team that maintains a safe, clean environment and supports ongoing quality assurance. The role monitors QA standards, drives best practices, and ensures adherence to established goals and Puratos values of Collaboration, Passion, Courage, Integrity, Quality and Vision.

Tasks are performed in a busy environment with limited supervision. Key responsibilities include daily visual inspections and timely correction of deficiencies, safe handling

Qualifications

  • Minimum High School or GED.
  • Food processing experience - preferred.
  • Sanitation processing - preferred.
  • Ability to apply basic math principles related to product usage and dilution.

Responsibilities

  • Visually inspect work daily and correct deficiencies in a timely manner.
  • Properly mixes cleaning chemicals and compounds, as well as insecticides if applicable.
  • Properly operates tools, including high pressure hoses for cleaning processes.
  • Train new hires to the department expectations, standards, and processes.
  • Follow BRC guidelines, HACCP and GMP.
  • Participate in weekly Food Safety Inspections as outlined by QA management.
  • Schedule and perform Master Sanitation duties, update schedule as needed.
  • Follow all Safety and Food Safety rules, policies and procedures, including PPE.
  • Respond to emergencies in Manager’s absence per procedures.
  • Perform pest control duties utilizing monitoring inspections.

Job description

The Sanitation Lead position is one that participates in and assists with leading a team which executes on establishing and maintaining a safe and clean environment. Monitoring all established quality assurance standards and encouraging the team to consistently deliver excellent results. Responsible for the execution of best practices, goals and established standards for the team. Demonstrate the company’s core values of Collaboration, Passion, Courage, Integrity, Quality and Vision. Performs all tasks in a busy environment with limited supervision.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Visually inspect work daily and correct deficiencies in a timely manner.
  • Properly mixes cleaning chemical and compounds, as well as insecticides if applicable.
  • Properly operates tools, including high pressure hoses for various cleaning processes.
  • Keep all areas clean and organized while also maintaining the inspections inside and outside building parameters.
  • Train new hires to the department expectations, standards, and processes while keeping a focus on company culture.
  • Demonstrates understanding and use of cleaning chemicals, aspects which include safety, measurements, and applications of the chemical with the ability to use and train Sanitors.
  • Uphold All Quality standards.
  • Responsible for establishing priorities and work independently without direct supervision.
  • Understand and follow BRC guidelines.
  • Understand and follow Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP)and Good Manufacturing Practices. (GMP)
  • Participate in weekly Food Safety Inspections as outlined by QA management.
  • Schedule and perform Master Sanitation duties, update schedule when needed and ensure all work is prioritized following set frequencies.
  • Follow all Safety and Food Safety rules, policies and procedures, including the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Flexibility in work hours to include potential overtime may be required at times, based on work demand.
  • Knowledge of all aspects of the Sanitation operation.
  • Ability to monitor work performance of the Sanitors.
  • Complete and provide assigned reports to Sanitation Manager.
  • In Manager’s absence, respond to emergencies accordingly per procedures.
  • Perform pest control duties utilizing monitoring inspections.

Compensation

  • Hourly compensation for this position is based on skills and experience, ranging from $24.00-$30.00
