Puratos USA is seeking an Automation Maintenance Mechanic based at our Pennsauken, NJ campus to troubleshoot and repair mechanical, pneumatic, electrical, and controls equipment across the plant. The role collaborates with production and quality teams to maintain continuous operations and supports engineering projects.

The position offers a 2-2-3 shift schedule with a $2,000 sign-on bonus and a compensation package including benefits such as medical coverage, 401(k) matching, and generous PTO.

Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on mechanical maintenance experience.
• Experience with sanitary systems and pumps/gearboxes/steam traps.
• Familiarity with boilers is a plus; able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Proficient with CMMS and SAP for work orders and requisitions.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and electrical control instruments.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, pneumatic, electrical, and controls equipment.
• Support production to maintain output and timely repairs.
• Assist engineering on projects across the plant.

Job Detail

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for mechanical troubleshooting and preventive maintenance across the manufacturing plant. This role collaborates closely with production and quality teams to ensure continuous operation and timely repairs.

Earn a $2,000 Sign-On Bonus! Bonus payments are distributed as you reach key employment milestones: $750 at 3 months, $500 at 6 months, $250 at 1 year, and $500 at 2 years.

Shift: 6 PM - 6 AM, 2-2-3 schedule

Primary Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, pneumatic, electrical, and controls equipment
• Work closely with production and quality teams to maintain production output
• Provide resources and support to help the engineering team execute projects efficiently throughout the plant
• Operation, troubleshoot, and repair of Steam, Refrigeration, and Wastewater systems
• Fabrication of components, tools and equipment
• Execute and complete PM (Preventative Maintenance) work without production interruptionas directed by Maintenance Supervisor and Lead
• Direct actions as necessary to ensure safety
• Maintain CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System); work order entry, completions, requisitions, inventory
• Utilize SAP for completing Purchase requisitions

Requirements:

• 5+ years of hands-on mechanical maintenance experience
• Experience working on and around Sanitary Systems
• Experience with troubleshooting and repairing mechanical equipment working with pumps, gearboxes, and steam traps
• Experience fabricating components, tools, and equipment;Ability to operate material handling equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.)
• Boiler Experience – Blue or Black Seal Boiler License is a plus
• Desire and ability to learn about new and existing processing systems
• Ability to lift 50lbs andcomfortable working at elevated heights
• Food Manufacturing and GMP Environment Experience preferred, but not mandatory
• Ability to work on electrical systems preferred;motors, drives, PLC’s, temperature, flow and other control instruments and devices
• Stainless Steel and Sanitary Welding skills is a plus
• Strong communication skills
• Physical Demands: Frequently lift up to 50 lbs, occasionally lift up to 75 lbs; occasional sitting, climbing/balancing, squatting, crawling, push/pull, and gripping; frequent stooping/twisting, kneeling, reaching, constant standing, walking, visual acuity (near/far)
• Environmental Conditions: Occasional exposure to uneven ground, working at heights, and biohazards; frequent exposure to excessive noise, extreme temperatures, dust/fumes; constant exposure to hazards and machinery

• Compensation for this role is hourly and will be based on your experience, skills, and location, with a typical hourly range between $29.60 and $41.75.
