Job summary

Puratos USA is hiring a Maintenance Technician in Rancho Dominguez, CA. This full-time position offers a $2,000 sign-on bonus and a 4:00 am–12:30 PM shift, Monday–Friday with Saturdays commonly required.

You will troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and controls equipment, support production, and maintain steam, refrigeration, and wastewater systems. Candidates should have 5+ years in mechanical maintenance and be able to lift up to 50 lbs. GMP environment experience preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on mechanical maintenance experience
• Experience working on and around Sanitary Systems
• Experience with troubleshooting and repairing mechanical equipment working with pumps, gearboxes, and steam traps
• Experience fabricating components, tools, and equipment; Ability to operate material handling equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.)
• Boiler Experience – Blue or Black Seal Boiler License is a plus
• Desire and ability to learn about new and existing processing systems
• Ability to lift 50lbs and comfortable working at elevated heights
• Food Manufacturing and GMP Environment Experience preferred
• Ability to work on electrical systems preferred; motors, drives, PLC’s, temperature, flow and other control instruments and devices
• Stainless Steel and Sanitary Welding skills is a plus
• Strong communication skills
• Physical Demands: Frequently lift up to 50 lbs, occasionally lift up to 75 lbs; occasional sitting, climbing/balancing, squatting, crawling, push/pull, and gripping; frequent stooping/twisting, kneeling, reaching, constant standing, walking, visual acuity (near/far)
• Environmental Conditions: Occasional exposure to uneven ground, working at heights, and biohazards; frequent exposure to excessive noise, extreme temperatures, dust/fumes; constant exposure to hazards and machinery

Earn a $2,000 Sign-On Bonus! Bonus payments are distributed as you reach key employment milestones: $750 at 3 months, $500 at 6 months, $250 at 1 year, and $500 at 2 years.

• Compensation for this role is hourly and will be based on your experience, skills, and location, with a typical hourly range between $31.00-43.70/hr
