Job summary

Puratos USA in Pennsauken, NJ is seeking a Reliability Engineer to identify risks and drive asset reliability and productivity. You will lead FMEA, data analysis, RCA, and LCAM adherence while partnering with Maintenance, Production, Health & Safety, Quality, and Engineering.

You will reduce downtime by improving preventive maintenance plans, updating CMMS, and supporting Early Equipment Management for new equipment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of relevant maintenance experience.
• Experience with Continuous Improvement/Operational Excellence is preferred.
• Proficiency in statistical, mathematical, and engineering concepts.
• Strong analytical and cross-functional communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop FMEA processes for assets and perform data analysis to predict failures.
• Plan performance tests to identify production and safety risks.
• Conduct RCA for recurring failures and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain LCAM processes and improve maintenance strategies with teams.

Job Location USA - National Hwy, Pennsauken (NJ)- Puratos US HQ Campus

The Reliability Engineer identifies and manages risks and productivity improvement opportunities that may affect asset reliability and business operations. This role focuses on risk management, loss elimination, and lifecycle asset management.

The Reliability Engineer works to reduce the cost of failure by minimizing system downtime, assessing asset reliability, and identifying opportunities for improvement. The role partners across Maintenance, Production, Health & Safety, Quality, Engineering, and project teams to strengthen equipment performance, maintainability, and overall equipment effectiveness.

Primary Responsibilities

Asset Reliability & Risk Management

• Develop Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) processes for new and existing assets.
• Perform data analysis to predict and prevent failures before they occur.
• Plan performance evaluation tests to identify potential production and safety risks.
• Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for recurring failures and recommend corrective actions.
• Ensure adherence to the Life Cycle Asset Management (LCAM) process.

Preventive Maintenance & Continuous Improvement

• Update the preventive maintenance plan in the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
• Collaborate with Maintenance teams to develop proactive maintenance strategies that improve asset reliability.
• Partner with Production to support asset utilization and optimize overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
• Apply risk management, configuration management, and loss-elimination principles to improve performance and reduce downtime.
• Work with Project Engineers to ensure the maintainability and reliability of newly installed and modified equipment.
• Participate in Early Equipment Management activities supporting the design and installation of custom machine specifications.
• Provide reliability input throughout the equipment lifecycle to support safe, sustainable, and effective operation.

Technical Support & Collaboration

• Provide technical support to Production, Health & Safety, Quality, Engineering, and other internal teams.
• Use statistical, mathematical, and engineering concepts to evaluate performance, identify trends, and support decisions.
• Communicate findings, recommended actions, and reliability priorities clearly to cross-functional partners.
• Complete other assignments as directed by the immediate supervisor.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering or a related field
• 5+years of relevant maintenance experience.
• Experience with Continuous Improvement and Operational Excellence is preferred.
• Proficiency in statistical, mathematical, and engineering concepts, including statistical and probability methods and tools.
• Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and logical reasoning skills.Ability to multitask, prioritize workloads, and work effectively across functions.
• Knowledge of lifecycle asset management, risk management, configuration management, and loss elimination.

Physical Demands: Occasionally lift up to50lbs; frequent sitting, walking, and standing; occasional visual acuity (near/far).

• Annual compensation based on skills and experience ranging from $75,000 – $107,813 .
