Job summary

JBS Foods is seeking an hourly 3rd Shift Sanitor Team Member. The role involves cleaning and sanitizing machinery and floors in a production setting, setting up and maintaining cleaning equipment, and ensuring sanitation across assigned areas.

A strong work ethic and attention to detail are essential. Eligible candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent, be able to read, write and speak English, and ideally be bilingual (Spanish).

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent certification.
• Ability to speak, read, and write English.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Bilingual (Spanish) preferred.

Responsibilities

• To clean and sanitize machinery and floors in a production line setting.
• Responsible for all basic cleaning in and around assigned area.
• Set up, stocks, and maintains cleaning equipment and supplies.
• Monitor and maintains sanitation and organization of assigned areas.
• Operate heavy equipment.
• Stay aware of your surroundings and notify a supervisor if you recognize a hazard.
• Perform other duties as needed or as assigned.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• To clean and sanitize machinery and floors in a production line setting
• Responsible for all basic cleaning in and around assigned area
• Set up, stocks, and maintains cleaning equipment and supplies
• Monitor and maintains sanitation and organization of assigned areas
• Operate heavy equipment
• Stay aware of your surroundings and notify a supervisor if you recognize a hazard
• Perform other duties as needed or as assigned

Functional Requirements

• Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 75lbs on occasion with a partner
• Ability to stoop and bend at the waist on occasion
• Must use proper personal protective equipment effectively

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent certification
• Ability to speak, read, and write English
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Bilingual (Spanish) preferred
• Must be well-organized with good attention to detail
• Display strong work ethic and positive attitude
• Adaptable and dependable with ability to follow direction and work cooperation with others
• Must maintain a helpful and professional attitude and appearance
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed, but uninvolved, instructions and to deal with problems involving a few different variables.
• Strong desire to work hands-on work environment
• Good attendance and safety records
• Must be 18 years of age or older

Work Environment

• Must be able to work in a cold, damp environment
