Job summary

JBS Foods in Worthington, MN is hiring for a 3rd Shift Sanitation Full-time position. The role focuses on cleaning and sanitizing machinery and floors on a fast-moving production line.

You will lift up to 50 lbs, operate cleaning equipment, and maintain sanitation across assigned areas. Benefits include paid vacation, health coverage, 401(k), and company-paid leave; 18+ required. This is an on-site role in a cold, damp production environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment
• Expect to work hands on at high speed and times to life over 50 pounds
• Stay aware of your surroundings and notify a supervisor if you recognize a hazard
• Performs other duties as needed or as assigned

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• To clean and sanitize machinery and floors in a production line setting
• Responsible for all basic cleaning in and around assigned area
• Sets up, stocks, and maintains cleaning equipment and supplies
• Monitors and maintains sanitation and organization of assigned areas
• Operate heavy equipment
• Expect to work hands on at high speed and times to life over 50 pounds

Functional Requirements

• Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50lbs on occasion
• Ability to walk up 4 – 8 hours’ daily
• Ability to stoop and bend at the waist on occasion
• Must use proper personal protective equipment effectively

Work Environment

• Must be able to work in a cold, damp, and hot environment
• Production and maintenance settings
• Exposure to various chemicals, machinery, and knives
• Slippery floors, cold temperatures, and loud ambient noise
