Job summary

Oberto Snacks, Inc. is seeking an Onsite Ready to Eat (RTE) Operator I for the 3rd shift in Kent, WA. You will operate multiple packaging lines, ensure quality, and meet production schedules while maintaining rigorous food safety standards.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 6 months manufacturing experience preferred.
• Pallet Jack experience preferred.
• Lock-Out Tag-Out Certification (OJT).
• Familiarity with HACCP (OJT), SQF preferred.
• Other Food Safety, Quality, Technical, and Regulatory Training as needs determine appropriate.
• Understanding and compliance with all GMPs (OJT).
• Understanding and compliance with all personal safety rules (OJT).
• Knowledge of food safety, quality, and SQF fundamentals via annual in-house and on-the-job training.

Responsibilities

• Operate machines to meet quality standards, schedule attainment, and line efficiency.
• Set up workstations for efficient packaging and throughput.
• Direct employees on other lines or rework when machines are down.
• Ensure timely start after breaks and lunch, maintain daily records.
• Perform QA checks, weight/count checks, metal detection, and blade inspection.
• Adjust machine settings for optimal registration, sealing temperature, speed, gas levels, and slicing width.
• Maintain safety and sanitation, train others on procedures, monitor compliance.
• Track production against schedule and coordinate line changes as needed.
• Load and thread film on packaging lines; handle packaging supplies and WIP.
• Identify and remove defective products; escalate machine jams to leads.
