Job summary

MacLean-Fogg Company in Mooresville, North Carolina is seeking a Quality Technician for 3rd shift. You will inspect in-process and finished products, perform quality testing, analyze data, and support corrective actions and continuous improvement.

The role requires 2-5 years of related experience, strong inspection skills, and the ability to work with minimal supervision in an on-site environment. Pay ranges from $19 to $22 per hour, with a 4% shift premium and full-time hours.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of experience in a similar role.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Comprehensive working knowledge of relevant quality inspection subject matter.

Responsibilities

• Inspect in-process and finished products to verify compliance with work instructions, specifications, and established quality standards.
• Perform first-piece inspections and conduct visual, mechanical, and functional tests using appropriate tools and gaging instruments.
• Accurately document inspection results and enter information into quality management systems; assist with reports tracking quality and production performance.
• Analyze inspection data and summarize findings to identify defects, non-conformances, deviations, and root causes; collaborate on corrective actions.
• Assist with developing, writing, and updating inspection procedures, protocols, and checklists reflecting quality requirements.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to improve quality, efficiency, and product reliability.
• Perform internal audits, verify adherence to quality processes and escalate concerns with documentation.
• Maintain accurate quality records and follow safety, environmental, and quality policies; keep work area 5S.
