Job summary

BADGER COLOR USA is seeking an entry-level Quality Technician for the 3rd shift to join our manufacturing team. You will help ensure products meet customer and quality standards while learning essential QC skills. No prior manufacturing experience required; training will be provided.

The role offers an overnight schedule (11:30 PM–8:00 AM) with a $2.50/hour shift premium, a focused work environment, comprehensive benefits, and opportunities for career advancement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow written instructions.
• Ability to distinguish color differences and work in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Follow production specifications and batch instructions to meet customer requirements.
• Weigh materials and prepare color samples using molding, milling, and press equipment.
• Evaluate color and product quality using visual inspection and testing equipment.
• Use spectrophotometer software and other tools to analyze color variations and correct deviations.
• Complete required documentation and maintain accurate records.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.

Shift Information

3rd Shift

• Sunday night through Friday morning
• 11:30 PM - 8:00 AM
• Additional $2.50/hour shift premium
• Overtime available as needed

What You'll Do

As a QC Technician, you will:

• Follow production specifications and batch instructions to meet customer requirements
• Weigh materials and prepare color samples using molding, milling, and press equipment
• Evaluate color and product quality using visual inspection and testing equipment
• Use spectrophotometer software and other tools to analyze and correct color variations
• Complete required documentation and maintain accurate records
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors

Additional Responsibilities

• Perform quality tests such as:
  • FTIR analysis
  • Melt flow testing
  • Ash testing
  • Moisture analysis
• Support continuous improvement and quality initiatives
• Work overtime or weekends as needed to support production requirements
• Assist with other duties as assigned
