Job summary

PPG is seeking a Quality Control Technician (3rd Shift) to work onsite at our Springdale, PA plant. You will test raw materials and finished goods, report results to production and customers, and ensure tests are accurate and timely.

Reporting to the Manager of Quality Services & Manufacturing Support, PPG offers comprehensive benefits and a 401(k) plan with retirement savings, plus paid vacation and holiday pay.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Two years of Quality Control experience; chemical or coatings environment preferred.
• Basic knowledge of mathematics and scientific principles; college chemistry and math desired.

Responsibilities

• Test raw materials and finished products for QC lab properties.
• Communicate adjustments and results to other departments.
• Reduce batch samples for spray-outs and perform defect analysis.
• Check calibration of equipment and maintain a clean workspace.
• Follow all procedures and safety protocols.
