Job summary

PPG Industries is seeking a Quality Control Technician for the 2nd shift at our Brazil, IN plant. You will receive samples from production and perform testing to verify adherence to customer specs, document results, and approve or reject products.

The role reports to a Quality Supervisor and involves data entry, basic lab housekeeping, and potential SOP development. Shift runs Sunday night through Friday morning, 3:00 pm to 11:00 pm, onsite.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of quality control or related experience.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Data entry, basic math, and computer skills (Excel, Word).
• Experience with ISO 9001 is helpful.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and sit, stand, bend, twist.

Responsibilities

• Perform testing to evaluate quality of in-process materials and finished goods
• Document data and determine approval or rejection according to specs
• Maintain basic lab housekeeping
• May establish specifications and write SOPs
