Job summary

Carpenter Co. in Longview, NC is seeking a Production Supervisor for the 3rd shift to lead hourly production staff in fabrication operations, safety, quality and on-time delivery. You will partner with management to review performance, schedules and continuous improvement initiatives.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years manufacturing supervisory experience, strong computer skills (Word/Excel) and familiarity with SAP. Bachelor’s degree preferred, and willingness to work off hours.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• 3–5 years manufacturing supervisory experience.
• 1–3 years supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of SAP preferred but not required.
• Intermediate Word and Excel skills.
• Flexibility to work off hours and extended shifts.
• Contribute to team building.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise hourly employees in production, quality, safety, and order value.
• Monitor adherence to procedures for processing orders and paperwork.
• Ensure company policies are communicated and followed.
• Maintain a safe operation according to company standards.
• Establish and maintain quality aligned with customer expectations using Kaizen.
• Review and approve department time records daily.
