Job summary

Teijin Automotive Technologies is seeking a 3rd shift Production Supervisor for its Van Wert, OH plant. The role oversees daily shop-floor production, supervises staff, schedules manpower, and coordinates with other departments to ensure efficient operations and quality compliance.

The position requires a HS diploma or GED, a Bachelor's in Business Admin/Management preferred, and at least three years of supervision experience.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED equivalent.
• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or Management preferred.
• Three years of production supervisory experience.
• Must be open and available to work off shifts.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Strong proficiency in MS Office including Word and Excel.
• Flexible Schedule and ability to work overtime when needed.
• Ability to troubleshoot and provide preventative maintenance and knowledge of safety precautions.

Responsibilities

• Meet daily manpower and scheduling requirements.
• Manage absentee coverage.
• Provide on-the-job training to employees.
• Maintain and uphold all quality standards of the organization.
• Maintain an accurate record of all production activities.
• Evaluate team performance.
• Interact with other departments when necessary to ensure proper system function.
• Comply with all safety standards and regulations.
• Provide preventative maintenance.
• Initiate new job start-ups when required.
• Delegate work to subordinates when necessary to ensure efficiency.
• Complete necessary documentation and file appropriately.
