Job summary

Sterling Engineering, Inc. seeks a hands-on Production Supervisor for the 3rd shift in West Chicago, IL.

You will organize resources, lead a production team, and ensure on-time delivery with safety and quality at the forefront. This role requires chemical plant or process manufacturing experience, strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to train and develop staff while upholding safety procedures and company policies.

Qualifications

• Supervisory experience in manufacturing.
• Chemical plant or process manufacturing experience required.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting.
• High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's preferred.
• Proficient with computers and production reporting systems.
• Good communication and leadership skills.
• Forklift experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Organize production resources and workflows to meet production schedules and quality standards.
• Supervise production employees to ensure safe, efficient operation of manufacturing equipment.
• Train and develop team members while reinforcing safety procedures and company policies.
• Monitor staffing levels and allocate manpower to meet production demands.
• Partner with quality, regulatory, and corporate teams to support reporting and compliance requirements.
• Identify opportunities to improve production methods, communication, efficiency, and cost control.
• Ensure adherence to production procedures, safety protocols, and quality standards.
• Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement throughout the operation.
