AB SPECIALTY SILICONES L LC in Illinois is seeking a Production B Operator to perform daily production and processing tasks in the silicone chemicals facility. You will operate plant equipment, follow SOPs, and help with startup and shutdown under supervision while advancing toward a senior operator role.

The role requires at least 3 years in chemical manufacturing, a forklift license, strong teamwork and safety discipline, and the ability to record data accurately and troubleshoot routine

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in chemical manufacturing and production.
• Fork Truck License.
• Teamwork; promote positive work environment within the production team and with other departments.
• Leadership; provide mentorship to junior operators, answer questions, demonstrate best practices.
• Strong communication skills – verbal and written.
• Safety; ensure company safety and security procedures are followed in all processes.

Responsabilités

• Operate assigned plant equipment safely; assist start-up/shutdown of processes.
• Qualified to run at least 75% of plant equipment.
• Measure and record raw, in-process, and finished materials.
• Follow all work instructions and SOPs; sign off on each instruction.
• Pack out material when batch process is complete.
• Clean production equipment, tools and work areas between batches.
• Calculate adjustments to batches and troubleshoot routine process issues.
• Comply with health, safety and environmental requirements; use PPE.
• Report unsafe conditions or injuries to leadership.
• Handle materials for transport per regulatory requirements.
