Position Purpose
The Production Supervisor manages work processes and associates within the Department on designated shifts.

Position Responsibilities
- Enforce Hazardous Material Handling Procedures and oversee Initial and Annual Training
- Manage and supervise all production associates
- Execute the schedule to keep all production lines running to meet customer needs
- Responsible for the workflow and developing the line leads to take ownership of the line
- Monitor change-overs and set-ups to reduce down-time
- Exercise a team attitude with peers on alternate shifts to ensure smooth shift starts
- Support cGMP by holding associates to required standards
- Monitor training to ensure new hires, temps, and department transfers understand their responsibility
- Able to diagnose and correct problems within department and communicate issues cross-functionally
- Change agent to support strategic initiatives around safety, quality, cost and on-time service
- Responsible for executing performance evaluations for department associates
- Expected to be exposed to and trained in handling hazardous materials with annual refresher training

Qualifications
Education
High School Degree or GED Equivalent
Experience
- At least 2 years' experience in a supervisor role
- Minimum of 4 years working in a manufacturing environment
Technology/Software
- Moderate PC and ERP capabilities
Communication
- Communication skills in English. Spanish as a second language preferred.
- Strong motivating and team building skills (mentoring and coaching)
Physical Capabilities
- Strength: Must be able to regularly lift 55 lbs.
- Movement: Must be able to stand/walk for an entire eight-hour shift. Occasional bending, crouching, and crawling.
- Hearing: Must be able to hear and understand work direction in a loud, distracting environment.
- Vision: Must be able to judge distance, identify details, and view computer screen regularly.
