Essentra Components is hiring a 3rd shift Production Supervisor at our plastic injection molding plant in Erie, PA. This role is responsible for managing the daily operations of the injection molding department and supervising/directing the production employees on their shift. The hours for this position are 10:00 pm - 6:30 am, Monday to Saturday (starting at 10:00pm on Monday, ending at 6:30am on Saturday)
Typical Accountabilities:
Manage daily operations of the injection molding department in terms of supervising employees, monitoring safety and quality, communicating daily production goals, handling performance issues, etc.
Ensure staff is maintaining Master Processes on all production jobs.
Act as technical consultant to the process technicians.
Provide training to new and existing production employees.
Lead weekly production meetings with department team members.
Complete performance reviews for team members annually.
Enforce all company policies including safety, quality, HSE, IATF16949 and PPE.
Utilize Mattec software to monitor shift efficiency and equipment utilization.
Complete production reports on a daily basis.
Make recommendations for process improvements within the department.
Perform related job duties as needed and assigned.
Qualifications:
At least 2 years of experience as a Team Lead or supervisor in a manufacturing plant.
Previous experience managing others and providing training, coaching, and direction with daily job duties.
A team player with good interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to balance multiple priorities.
Ability to work independently.
Ability to work some overtime as needed.
Well-motivated, self-starter.
Problem solving and reasoning ability
Knowledge of quality, safety, and production best practices.
Basic computer skills in Windows and Microsoft office, and experience using an ERP system.
