We are hiring a Manufacturing Production Coordinator for our printing plant team in Eagan, Minnesota. As a Manufacturing Production Coordinator, you will be supporting leadership to evaluate priorities, labor, equipment, and product flow. You will also be coordinating internal/external communication for the work area to determine crewing needs and maximize production and quality. Half of the assignment could be working in production on the shop floor.
Hours of Work – Eagan, Minnesota: 1st shift – 6:30 am – 2:00 pm
Occasional overtime up to 2 hours per day and occasional weekend shifts
Eligibility: Must have held current position in CPS for 12 months, meet the qualifications for the position, and not currently on a Performance Improvement Plan
About the Role:
- Coordinate work processes, product flow, training and lean practices within a production or materials management department to maximize productivity and quality
- Update schedules to reflect changes as authorized and communicate the changes appropriately within the department and to other departments
- Create and develop weekly training materials such as SWI documents, facilitate courses and videos
- Coordinate, track, and report on training statistics
- Understand, train, and sustain lean practices
- Investigate defects in system transaction entry and product quality, and follow up with employees and management as needed
- Support supervisor’s administrative tasks and assist with various requests
- Prioritize and complete multiple tasks with minimal oversight
- Make decisions impacting the efficiency and effectiveness of daily operations
About You:
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written
- Experience with enterprise resource planning systems (e.g., SAP)
- Knowledge of Lean practices in production and materials management environments
- Experience in training development and administration
- Ability to work with peers, staff, and management on cross-departmental projects
- Ability to build relationships with vendors supporting production and training materials
- Frequent contact with internal departments
- Participation in Lean projects
