Solventum is seeking Production Operator candidates to join our team in Meriden CT!

  • Pay: $21.67/hour + 7.5% Shift Differential ($1.40/hour pay increase after 12 months)
  • Shift: 3rd shift (Sunday Night – Friday Morning; 11pm - 7am)

Solventum Purification & Filtration business

We are pleased to announce that Solventum has entered into a definitive agreement to sell our Purification & Filtration business to Thermo Fisher Scientific. This transaction is anticipated to be completed by the end of 2025, subject to the satisfaction of customary closing conditions, receipt of regulatory approvals, and country specific information and consultation needs where required. This is a significant milestone for the P&F business and will allow for the strategic investment and resources needed for sustaining growth and delivering customer solutions. By joining us during this transitional period, you will be able to work alongside an energized and mission-driven team who is experiencing this transition along with you. Until then, Solventum will continue to operate as a unified entity, and employment is subject to all applicable terms and conditions as set forth in our employment agreement and company policies.

As a Production Operator, You Will Have The Opportunity To Tap Into Your Curiosity And Collaborate With Some Of The Most Innovative And Diverse People Around The World. Here, You Will Make An Impact By

  • Operating cartridge equipment to pleat, trim, cut seal membrane media, sub assemble, cap, final assembly, testing, drying and packaging of cartridges.
  • Performing various production operations including the operating of multiple machines, where it can be done safely, and filling in on positions throughout manufacturing operations as required.
  • Observing all company and OSHA safety rules and practices. Keeping the work area clean and orderly.
  • Assisting in change over and setup on production line and equipment.
  • Assisting other department members as needed to ensure safety and maximize output. Assisting in the training of other employees as necessary.
  • Completing quality checks and, if a discrepancy is found, working with appropriate team members to solve the problem.
  • Possessing the ability to clearly speak, understand, and write in English to communicate effectively in both verbal and written contexts.

Your Skills And Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

  • Possess a High School Diploma/GED or higher (completed prior to start).

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

  • One (1) year or more of plant, manufacturing, and/or warehouse experience
  • Ability to work 3rd Shift (Sunday Night – Friday Morning; 11pm - 7am)
  • Ability to work weekends, overtime, or holidays as needed.
  • Ability to lift up to 55 pounds unassisted and up to 70 pounds with assistance.
  • Post-high school education
  • Basic computer knowledge
  • Good communication skills

The starting rate of pay for this position is $21.67/hour, with the potential to reach $23.07/hour. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, and/or experience. In addition, this position may be eligible for a range of benefits (e.g., Medical, Dental & Vision, Health Savings Accounts, Health Care & Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts, Disability Benefits, Life Insurance, Voluntary Benefits, Paid Absences and Retirement Benefits, etc.).
