Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. in Lafayette, IN is seeking a 3rd shift Production Manager to coordinate a complex production line, plan schedules, resolve issues and uphold safety and quality standards.

You will lead daily line activities, prepare reports, train new hires, and drive continuous improvement through teamwork and effective communication.

This role requires a degree or equivalent experience, relocation assistance, and travel up to 10%. Onsite five days a week.

Responsibilities

• Create reports on production processes, tools issues, performance and inventory; share findings with managers to improve safety and productivity.
• Prepare, maintain, and update documentation related to operating procedures, safety and quality standards; ensure processes meet safety and quality goals.
• Supervise daily production line activities, assign tasks, coordinate teams, ensure safety and monitor performance.
• Train new hires, manage scheduling, resolve conflicts, maintain safety, and promote cross-team communication.
