Job summary

igus Bearings, Inc. in Rumford, RI is seeking a Production Team Leader to oversee shift operations and drive safety, quality, and delivery objectives.

You will lead the Production Team, assign workloads, and collaborate with cross-functional groups to solve problems on the production floor. The role requires 5-7 years of team leadership in manufacturing, knowledge of lean techniques, and solid computer skills.

Qualifications

• Five to seven years production team leader experience.
• Knowledge and understanding of lean techniques required.
• Previous computer experience.

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership, direction and oversight to the Production Team to ensure company objectives are attained regarding Safety, Quality and Delivery.
• Assigns work assignments to the Team Leaders and Production Employees.
• Ensures safety procedures are followed in order to promote personal safety and the safety of others.
• Practices strong engagement with direct reports and team members including accepting diversity of ideas and thoughts, sharing responsibility for success, demonstrating honesty and integrity, helping employees solve problems and showing respect.
• Communicates daily issues and pertinent information to production manager, as needed.
• Provides training to Team Leaders and Production Employees, as needed.
• Facilitate and document all training for new hires including 90 day and annual reviews.
• Manage team HRIS approvals
• Completes all necessary production paperwork.
• Ensures 5S duties are performed every day on the floor.
• Understands, supports and follows all company policies, practices and procedures.
• Works with Management team to develop process improvement opportunities.
• Performs other assignments as directed.
