Job summary

EnerSys is seeking a 3rd shift supervisor in Springfield, MO to lead a production team, ensure targets are met, and uphold safety and quality standards. You will coach staff, manage schedules, and coordinate with maintenance, supply chain, EH&S, and HR to drive operational excellence.

This onsite role offers a sign-on bonus and relocation assistance for the right candidate, with responsibilities spanning leadership, training, and adherence to SOPs and PPE requirements.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 2-year technical/associates degree or cert, plus 1 year in a lead/supervisory role.
• Bachelor's degree in science/production management/engineering preferred.
• Strong leadership, coaching, and motivation skills.
• Ability to coach others and maintain team motivation.
• Ability to analyze cause-effect relationships.
• Basic math skills and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, supervision, and training to the shift/department personnel.
• Oversee equipment, systems, resources, and facilities under your control.
• Communicate department targets (production, safety, quality, cost) and mentor staff.
• Schedule work and manage staffing levels, coordinate with support functions.
• Act as liaison to other departments and communicate production status.
• Ensure safety, EH&S, and PPE compliance.
