Job summary

CAREL is seeking a Work Group Lead for Production Mechanics Value Stream on the 3rd shift. You will provide hands-on leadership, support the daily production plan, and train new employees while focusing on safety, quality, and productivity.

You will collaborate with the production supervisor and value stream leader to maintain efficiency, enforce 5S, and ensure on-time delivery in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Education - High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience - 2-4 years manufacturing experience required, preferably in assembly.
• Leadership: guide, motivate, coach team members and support development.
• Communication: clearly convey instructions, expectations, and feedback to team and management.
• Problem-solving & Decision-making: identify, analyze and resolve issues under pressure.
• Conflict resolution: foster a positive, collaborative team environment.
• Delegation & Organizational skills: manage schedules, tasks, resources efficiently.
• Emotional Intelligence & Adaptability: flexible to changing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support operations to meet safety, quality, and productivity goals.
• Interpret specifications and guidance to plan daily work.
• Perform assembly and sub-assembly tasks with attention to quality.
• Train new employees and ensure adherence to procedures.
• Maintain 5S program for a clean, efficient work area.
• Document issues and assist in escalation when needed.
• Coordinate daily functions with production supervisor and value stream leader.
