Job summary

HII's Newport News Shipbuilding division is seeking a Training Specialist to design, coordinate, and deliver in-house training programs for field personnel and customers in a fast-paced environment.

The role involves creating training content, evaluating program effectiveness, and updating materials to meet evolving requirements. A Bachelor's degree or equivalent Navy/NNS credentials are required. Third shift availability is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 0 years exempt experience.
• Equivalent: NNS Apprentice School graduate.
• High school and 5 years combined manufacturing, shipbuilding, trades, military or related non-exempt experience.
• Graduation from Navy Nuclear Power School.

Responsibilities

• Plans, develops, and coordinates in-house product training programs for field support personnel and customers.
• Obtains information needed to prepare in-house training programs; prepares training materials; develops course content; determines methodology; coordinates development of training aids.
• Conducts training sessions and develops criteria for evaluating effectiveness of training activities.
